The round was led by Soulmates Ventures, with participation from BlackWood, Unruly Capital, and Purple Ventures.
“We’re building the payments infrastructure that will make EV charging effortless for fleets,” said Charlie Cook, Founder and CEO of Rightcharge. “The home is the quiet giant of electrification. Over 70% of charging already happens there. Accurate, automated payments give businesses confidence to electrify faster, while cutting costs and carbon. Thanks to our investors and our partnership with Octopus Energy, we’re now bringing that capability to fleets across Europe.”
The company solves one of the biggest barriers to fleet electrification: fragmented, error-prone payments for home charging. By linking directly to drivers’ energy accounts, Rightcharge automates reimbursements, consolidates all costs into a single HMRC-compliant bill, and removes the need for spreadsheets or manual claims. Fleets using Rightcharge cut charging costs by up to 90% and carbon emissions by around 30%.
The platform already counts The Automobile Association and other leading UK fleets as customers, and has grown ARR more than 10x in 2025. A new partnership with Octopus Electroverse will now support expansion into Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, and Ireland.
Abbas Kazmi, Investment Committee member at BlackWood Ventures commented, “We are delighted to be backing Rightcharge in their seed round. At BlackWood Ventures, we look for bold teams solving real-world problems with scalable solutions and Rightcharge delivers exactly that. As the EV revolution accelerates, infrastructure is often the bottleneck. Rightcharge is tackling this head-on addressing both FinTech and ClimateTech challenges with their mission to enable a world where choosing clean living is effortless, accessible and enduring.
We truly believe that they have the right team and backgrounds to deliver on their exciting promise. The team has built a seamless customer experience at a crucial inflection point in the UK’s and Europe’s shift toward EVs. Their vision aligns strongly with our belief in investing in businesses that drive the clean energy transition, smart infrastructure, and real climate impact. We are proud to support Rightcharge on this journey and look forward to helping fuel their important mission.”
“Fleet electrification stalls when the basics don’t work. Rightcharge has built the kind of infrastructure that turns a daily headache into a seamless process. That clarity and reliability is what accelerates adoption at scale.” added Maxime Pasquier, Principal at BlackWood
