COO
Danish by blood, global by upbringing. I was born in Malaysia, and have lived in 10 countries across Europe, Asia, and North America, moving more than 15 times along the way. Growing up this way gave me a deep curiosity for people and cultures, and a strong belief that what makes us different is exactly what should be celebrated. It also made my world feel both bigger and smaller at the same time, and hardwired me to approach opportunities with a global perspective from day one.
After completing my studies at ESADE, I started my career in investment banking in New York, spending half a decade advising on cross-border M&A transactions. Working closely with highly successful founders, management teams, and investors gave me a front-row seat to how companies are built, scaled, and eventually exited. Over time, the desire to build became stronger than the desire to advise, which led me to leave banking and start my own fintech company. That journey shaped how I think about execution, failure, resilience, and the importance of getting the fundamentals right.
In 2025, Bastian asked me to join BlackWood Ventures as COO, bringing together my background as a founder and advisor, and my international perspective. His pitch was simple: help me build the best European VC firm from the ground up, whilst at the same time being a driving force of helping the most ambitious founders across Europe succeed with their crazy visions. That’s exactly what we’re doing. Brick by brick.
At my core, I’m driven by discipline and the pursuit of becoming the best version of myself, in work, in sport, and in life. Outside of work, I’m endlessly curious about people. I love meeting new individuals and hearing their stories, understanding what excites them. I’m also deeply obsessed with sport and adventure, so if you want to talk about ski touring expeditions, awesome cycling trips, ultra-running adventures, or just want to compare Whoop scores, I’m your guy.
